Meet Your Therapist: A Unique, Irreverent Approach to Trauma Healing

 

I’m a mental health therapist who takes a fresh, irreverent approach to working with trauma. Having worked with individuals, families and couples, I've learned that healing is hard—but it doesn’t always have to feel heavy. Sometimes, a touch of humor, a bit of lightness, or a new perspective can help balance out the tough stuff. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered as we work through the things that have been holding you back.

 

I've been working with an array of clients since 2019, and I've learned that therapy works best when it’s personal and collaborative. That’s why my approach is client-centered and humanistic—I meet you where you are, building on the strengths and values you already possess. With a feminist lens, I strive to decolonize my therapy work, acknowledging that I’m a cis-white woman operating within a flawed system. I aim to recognize how societal structures impact mental health and believe both external and internal struggles deserve attention in the healing process.

 

One of my favorite tools is parts work, which helps clients explore and embrace all the unique aspects of themselves. From inner critics to protective parts that feel overwhelming, each part has something valuable to share. Together, we can help those parts work with you instead of against you. I’m also trained in EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a highly effective method for processing trauma and breaking free from patterns that keep you feeling stuck.

 

My belief is simple: healing doesn’t have to be perfect, polished, or overly serious—it just needs to be real. If you’re ready to explore your story with a therapist who values authenticity, connection, and maybe even a little humor, I’d love to walk alongside you on this journey.
